Dominika Durtan has been working with visual arts for over twenty years. A natural born vagabond, she has lived and exhibited on three continents: Europe, North America and Asia (Middle East to be precise). She is currently based in the UAE, where she shares her time and workspace between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Dominika’s art practice focuses mainly on contemporary watercolour painting. Occasionally she uses other media: stone carving, wood carving, ceramics and gold-smithing.

Dominika participated in several art and craft exhibitions. Her major solo exhibition at Tashkeel allowed her to reconcile the past with the present and rediscover new routes in her art. She is currently working on a series of architectural landscapes.

Dominika holds a Master of Art diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Poland, school which was named after Władysław Strzemiński, Polish constructivist.
